Current & Future Focus
Ansley has spent the past two years dedicated to crafting biophilic interiors, establishing unique plantscapes, and developing the brand identity for The Plant Venue — an adaptive reuse project in Jackson, Mississippi which transformed an abandoned pipe plant into an event space featuring natural design elements and sustainable architecture.
The Plant project has propelled her interest in further exploring the benefits of human’s relationship with nature — fueling the desire to spend more time observing and documenting natural environments, species, and processes to explore the theory of biophilia. Moving forward, Ansley’s work is focused on documenting urban greenspace, wildlife, and plantlife while encouraging more built environments that adopt a biophilic design approach, promote sustainable landscapes, and give communities access to nature through public parks, trails, and gardens.
A creative and exploratative ethos defined by biophilic design and functional aesthetics that recognizes, exposes, and promotes the evolving relationship between people and the natural environment.
